Optical Control & Machine Learning

To meet the increasing demands of our customers without compromising high quality and accuracy, we give particular importance to quality control.

Our optical inspection machines, whose algorithm allows rapid scanning with sophisticated user interface functionality, are designed and manufactured by our R&D department.

In order to develop the optical inspection algorithm, we collect production data ourselves. Based on that data, we update the machines' software according to the changing and developing PCBA systems, which provides increased reliability.

ESD Control

As PCI Electronics, we have different manufacturing processes, and so have different ESD prevention measures for an optimum ESD Control Program. Our measures is selected based on technical necessity (IEC 61340-5-1 Edition 2.0 ) and carefully documented in our ESD Control Program.

  • We train our employees who handle any ESD Sensitive products and provide them a refresher training once every 18 months.
  • We monitor and test wirst straps and footwear as daily.
  • Grounding and bounding systems; wirst strap connection points, ESD flooring and work surface are measured every three months by the ESD Coordinator and the records are stored.
  • We use packaging with shielding properties to store and transport ESDS outside the EPA.

In line with the IPC/JEDEC J-STD-033 Joint Industry Standard , Moisture Sensitive Components (MSDs) are stored in dry cabinet in order to prevent malfunction and increase production quality.

Environmental Conditions Monitoring

Monitoring the environmental conditions is essential in the manufacturing process of electronic products to ensure safety and precision.

We use temperature and humidity monitoring devices and sensors to monitor environmental conditions through each step of the manufacturing process at our shop floors and warehouses.

3D Automated Optical Inspection

3D Automated Optical Inspection (AOI)

Due to increasing use of microelectronics with the advancement of technology and the increasing complexity of electronic board designs, the use of Automatic Optical Inspection (AOI) machines has become an integral solution for the surface mount technology (SMT) industry.

With our 3D AOI machine, we perform very accurate and reliable control operations such as excess/insufficient soldering, bridging, missing and lifted components, direction and offset, of our electronic boards during the post-reflow stage. After the inspection process, No Good (NG) boards are automatically separated and loaded into the magazine and transferred to rework station. With this inspection, quality management continuity is ensured, errors are detected in the first stages of production and corrective factors are taken.

The root causes of the defects are determined by continuously examining the 3D data obtained from the inspection processes and the necessary corrective and preventive factors are applied in the designs by our R&D department.
